BOLTON Wanderers boss Ian Evatt is in no doubt what is required of his players as his side goes into the final straight of the promotion race.
The Whites entered February firmly in the mix for a return to the Championship and with games in hand and the manager told the club’s official website: “It’s down to us.”
He added: “We’ve put ourselves in a really strong position. At the start of the season, I think we’d all have taken where we are now.
“We know what’s expected and we’re going to work our hardest to make that happen.”
With games coming thick and fast Evatt added: “It is still very much in our own hands, which is what we would have asked for at this stage.
“There are going to be highs, there are going to be lows, ups and downs and differences in performances and results, and we just have to make sure we take care of our own business and stay as consistent as we possibly can be.
“We know what’s required and it’s now down to us to try and execute that. For a long time now we’ve been behind in our games and had games in hand.
“Everyone’s been talking ‘ifs, buts and maybes’ and we just need to convert them into points. The time is now.”
He added: “We’re going well, we’re in a really strong position and now it’s about cementing that position and kicking on again.”
