Now in its 8th year, Festwich is somewhat of a phenomenon, still free to attend and seeing 20’000 in attendance over 2 days in St Mary’s Park Prestwich, obtaining tickets for this yearly Festival has now started to become the equivalent of discovering gold dust.
Jools Taylor organiser of Festwich “The secret of its success is no secret, it’s simply giving people what was promised from the offset and giving free tickets away. The fact the tickets are free is the core of the feelgood factor for the festival revellers, it’s a genuine offering which in turn is reciprocated by the masses with a heartfelt outpouring of affection for the festival. You won’t find corporate cynicism at Festwich it’s something we despise. Having witnessed some of the festival giants squeezing every penny and obsessing with year on year maximised profits, Festwich set out to be the antidote”.
This year promises to be the biggest line up of tribute artist yet, with over 30 bands already announced including tributes to Prince, Bowie, Kings Of Leon, Duran Duran, Linkin Park and many more. Free tickets for this year are expected to be snapped up in record time, tickets will be released Friday 25th January 10am via www.festwich.com & www.ticketline.co.uk
